π΅πΈ Trump pitches Gaza βBoard of Peaceβ with $1B seat. President Donald Trump unveiled the concept at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The plan sets a $1B βpermanent memberβ price tag for a seat. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said India and multiple Arab states were invited. The board would oversee a postwar Gaza administration, cutting Hamas out. Israelβs response to Oct. 7 has killed 72K+ Palestinians according to Gaza health officials. Critics see reconstruction dressed up as a membership club, with grief in the fine print. Editorβs Note: The polycrisis afflicting Gaza was officially considered a genocide by the United Nations (UN) and International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), with famine declared formally by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), confirmed by UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), UNICEF, World Food Program (WFP), and World Health Organization (WHO), along with Global Sumud Flotilla eyewitnesses.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) rejected the framing as slanted. The flap turned one broadcast into a referendum on who edits.
